Gutters in Signal Hill, Sized and Pitched to Drain

We install and repair gutters and downspouts that move rain off your roof and away from your walls and foundation. We measure your roof, check the fascia behind the old gutters and tell you plainly whether a repair will do or a new run makes more sense.

What Gutter Work Covers and When It Makes Sense

A gutter has one job: catch the water coming off the roof edge and send it somewhere harmless. When it sags, leaks at the seams or overflows, that water lands on fascia boards, stucco, window frames and the soil against your foundation. The damage is slow and quiet, which is why it often goes unnoticed until a board softens or paint starts to peel.

Our rain comes in a few heavy months after a long dry season. Leaves, roof grit and dust collect all summer, then the first real storm finds every clog and loose joint at once. That pattern decides most of our recommendations.

Sometimes the answer is a few new hangers and resealed corners. Sometimes the gutter is undersized for the roof above it, and patching it again only delays the same overflow. We will tell you which one you have and why.

What Our Gutter Service Includes

One-piece aluminum gutters formed on site
We roll each gutter from a coil at your home and cut it to the full length of the eave. Joints show up only where a run turns a corner or meets a downspout, which leaves very little that can open up and drip. You pick a color that suits your trim.
Downspouts placed where they help
We size downspouts to the roof area they drain and add extensions or splash blocks so water lands well away from the foundation, not against the wall.
Fascia and roof edge check
Before new gutters go up, we look at the fascia board and the drip edge. Soft or rotted wood is replaced first, because fastening a new gutter to a failing board wastes the work.
Repairs and resealing
For gutters in good overall shape, we replace bent sections, reset loose hangers, correct the pitch and reseal leaking corners and end caps.
Fit with your roof system
When gutters are part of a reroof, we coordinate the drip edge and gutter so water clears the edge cleanly. As a GAF Certified Contractor, we install that roof edge the way the shingle system is designed to work.

Signs Your Gutters Need Attention

  • Water sheeting over the lip

If rain pours over the outer lip instead of running to the downspout, look for a blocked outlet, a run sloped the wrong way or a gutter too narrow for the roof feeding it. We check for each and tell you which it is.

  • A bowed run or a gap at the board

When a gutter bends low in the middle, leaves and rainwater collect in that spot and add weight with every storm. The usual cause is screws or spikes working loose from fascia wood that has begun to soften.

  • Drips at seams and corners

Older sectional gutters leak at every joint once the sealant dries out. Streaks and stains on the wall below are the giveaway.

  • Peeling paint or stained stucco

Water running down the face of your home leaves marks long before you see the cause. Check below the gutter line after a storm.

  • Puddles or washed-out soil by the foundation

Downspouts that empty straight down, or are disconnected, put water exactly where you least want it.

What Moves the Cost of Gutters

Gutter pricing is mostly length, height and what we find behind the old gutter. We price after measuring, not before. Financing is available through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval.

Linear feet and corners

Longer runs and more inside and outside corners take more material and more labor.

Height and access

A two-story eave, a steep slope or tight side yards need more ladder setup and time.

Fascia condition

Rotted fascia must be replaced before anything is hung on it. We show you photos so the added cost is clear.

Gutter size and downspouts

Larger gutters and extra downspouts cost more but handle heavy rain from big roof planes far better.

How a Gutter Job Runs

  1. 1

    Inspection and measurements

We walk the roof edge, measure each run, check the fascia and note where water is ending up. You get photos of what we found.

  2. 2

    Written estimate

Your free written estimate lists the gutter, downspouts, any fascia repair and haul-away as separate lines, so you can see what each part costs.

  3. 3

    Installation day

Most homes take a single day. We remove the old gutters, repair the board behind them, form the new runs on site and hang them with hidden hangers at a steady pitch toward each outlet.

  4. 4

    Hose check and cleanup

Before we pack up, we put a hose on the roof edge and watch each outlet to make sure water reaches the downspouts and drains away from the house. Then we pick up old metal, screws and scraps from your yard and driveway.

Gutter Questions We Hear Often

Do I need gutters in such a dry climate?

Yes, in most cases. Our rain is infrequent but often heavy, and without gutters it falls in a line along your walls and foundation. That soaks the soil, splashes stucco and wears at wood trim year after year.

Can you repair my gutters instead of replacing them?

Often, yes. If the gutter is the right size and the metal is sound, new hangers, pitch correction and resealing may be all it needs. If it leaks at every joint or overflows because it is too small, we will say so and explain why replacement is the better spend.

What size gutter should my home have?

It depends on the roof area draining to each run and how steep the roof is. Many homes do well with standard gutters, while large or steep roof planes benefit from a wider profile and larger downspouts. We size it from your measurements.

Should I replace gutters when I replace my roof?

If the gutters are old or the fascia is soft, doing both at once is usually simpler. The drip edge and gutter can be set together, and you avoid disturbing new roofing later. Our Roof Replacement page covers that work in more detail.

Will storm damage to my gutters be covered by insurance?

Sometimes, when gutters are damaged along with the roof. We work directly with your insurance claim, documenting the damage with photos and measurements, while your adjuster makes the coverage decision. Our Storm Damage Repair page explains the process.
